In September, Williams pleaded guilty to stealing nearly $10,000 in cash and silver bars from multiple homes during raids conducted between March 2022 and July 2023. He confessed to using the stolen funds for personal purchases, including firearms, and attempting to sell the silver bars to various buyers.
Williams’ crimes extended beyond theft. He admitted to making false statements about charges on his government-issued credit card, claiming they were legitimate work-related expenses. In reality, these charges were fraudulent, and he used the stolen money for personal gain.
The plea agreement also revealed that Williams pawned FBI-owned property for his benefit. His first theft occurred in December 2020 when he embezzled $1,200 during a search warrant execution in Houston. Subsequent thefts included $1,500 in cash and several silver bars from Fan’s residence, as well as $4,000 in cash stolen during a 2022 search warrant execution.
Fan’s attorney, Mark Thering, expressed hope for the return of his client’s property. “We’re looking forward to resolving this matter soon. I’m glad to see justice moving forward,” Thering said.
