Fireside Chat with Eric – God’s Calling and Expectations of True Christians

If you happen to be local, welcome. This is our daily podcast going through the Bible. Today We’ll be going to our New Testament series, So if you have your Bible available, if you want to go to Mark chapter five, That’s what I’m going to be reading today. I’ve been praying about and we’re in We’re in planning to come out with some series, twelve part series.

The reason why is as I am out in town or if I’m doing my political podcast or the Christian podcast, or speaking with people at church. From my vantage point someone’s been walking with the Lord thirty one years, there seems to be there seems to be some building blocks that are missing in people’s understanding of God, which affects their theology, which affects the way that they live, and the way that they present or share God. To those who. See God is completely whole, satisfied, Holy, lacking nothing, omni omnipotent, omniscient.

God. God did not need us. God didn’t need anything. He owns everything, He makes everything.

As those who have been born from above and are children of God, we really need to understand that this journey is about making much of God. Yes we enjoy our families, Yes we enjoy nature, Yes we enjoy entertainment. But to the world, and if they’re asking you, there’s one truth. Now, if they’re not called by God, they can’t come to that.

And so there’s there’s no reason to get in the arguments and to get in you know, combative relationships, because our responsibility just like when Jesus sent the disciples out in two and he said, go in, share the gospel. If they accept, you, great bless them. If they don’t accept the gospel, it’s not you, it’s me. Knock the dust off your sandals and walk.

Because we as the creatures, we as the children of God, we as the ambassadors, can only all we can do is we, and all we must do is share the Gospel. When we share God’s word, we need to share God’s word, not try to well. It says this, but it kind of no. God is holy before anything was.

God was because God is outside of time. God is not contained. I’m meeting people that call themselves leftist, progressives, communists, or or part of the deconstruction movement, which is basically saying everything that I have learned about God, I am going to now unlearn because the world is hard to live in, so there must not be a God. People die, people get diseases.

People are restricted from pursuing their own lust and desires. And that’s not. That’s not of God. Those are constraints put on people by religious organizations that want to control people, or.

Or right the right who. Want people to fit into their patriarchal idea of marriage and everything. So they want God and. His scriptures out of the way so they can live like the Pagans we see in the Old Testament.

We even see him in the New Testament when the Jews in the New Testament, we’re trying to follow all the laws, and if they just gave up, then we’ve got the women caught in adultery and everything else, because there just came a point where she didn’t even buy into the threat of the law. But I just want to encourage you seek Christ with all your heart and lean not a You’re an understanding God requires that we would seek Him in prayer. Now this is after He calls us. We’re given the faith, we believe, we confess we’re born from above.

We recognize Jesus christis Lord, and we walk homely before our God, making much of Christ. But as Christians, as christ followers is what I. Tend to call people more because Christian has been, there’s been. There’s a lot of pseudo fake people with that moniker maybe on their business card or in their public speeches.

I’m a Christian, but as we. Go through the Bible together, it’s the Holy Spirit that is teaching. It is God’s Word that was inspired by forty men over fifteen hundred years on three contents to write God’s Word. Hebrews and other parts of the Bible point out to us that that everything we need for godly living is in the scriptures that you cannot add or take away, like in the Book of Revelation, from God’s scriptures that if you have been like Hebrews, if you’ve if you’ve tasted, if you’ve enlightened, been enlightened, if you’ve if you kind of, if you’ve understood it intellectually or emotionally for a moment about God, and then you decide you’re going to just walk away and disparage God’s name.

It’s impossible, but impossible to be brought back a second time. So it’s just very it’s a very serious decision that people make, and only because we’ve been filled with the Holy Spirit. If you’re listening, you’re not a Christian. And let me explain this to you.

Those of us that have been born from above. Christ followers, we study God’s word because we are saved from eternal damnation. We wrestle with our own as we work things out to our sanctification. We wrestle with the things that.

We don’t want to do, and we keep doing things you know we shouldn’t be, but yet we’re doing them less because we hate them. And the things we should have been doing, you know, sharing gospel, helping people, going to church, being available, putting others interest above our own, those should become. More prevalent as we love those. But if you’re not a Christian and you’re listening, or if you’re sharing this with somebody or somebody had you download this, keep in mind the call of God is the most desirable interaction you’ll have prior to salvation, because when you when the Holy Spirit’s calling you out of darkness, that’s the journey toward eternal life and eternity with a loving God.

Don’t run from the prompting. The Church. The the organizations we see today are not Christ. We are saved into Christ as Lord, He saves us.

The church, the organization. I’m not talking to the truly born again Christ followers, but that the buildings, you know, John, come to the Holy Roller Church down the street, come to the super First Street Baptist over here in this those are those are men’s Those are men’s structures that they set up for the purpose of worship. But if you’re not a believer there the felled attempts of men to be holy and righteous does not diminish the nature of God. God is holy.

Man is not so Christians, Christ followers, when you share the gospel, share them to the cross. Come to the Cross, come to Jesus. Don’t come to my church. Because then you’ll learn everything.

Come first to the cross, realize you’re a sinner. If so, if you know someone who feels prompted, then you must be prepared to give an answer to the gospel. And then then we need to be able to say, well, what do I have to do to be saved to You need to pray right now, today is the day of salvation. You don’t need to be a pastor, you don’t have to be seasoned, you don’t have to have a magic prayer.

You’re basically agreeing with them and you are walking them into the throne room of grace. How do I get saved? Is the Holy Spirit calling you to submit to Jesus Christ’s Lord. To do to become a christ aller, you have to believe that God took on flesh, came to earth according to the scriptures, lived a perfect life according to the scriptures, was crucified, which on the cross he conquered death and sin for us. But then he was buried according to.

The scriptures, on a third day he rose, and he sits at the right hand of our other in heaven, and he’s coming back. If you believe that God the Son died in your place, on the cross, and that him doing that then made you righteous before a holy God. Then pray that the Holy Spirit would Will. You come in save me.

And and walk with me, and help me to have a hunger for your word God, and have a hunger for your for your church, Jesus, I believe, I confess that you die from me. I exalt you as Lord. Save me. Amen.

But the point is. Truth is what God is and what God’s word says. And it doesn’t matter how anybody feels about the truth. Ah, it seems kind of tough.

I don’t like that part of the Bible. Well, I’m not. I don’t know if I really agree with her. I think some people are worn that way.

Well, death penalty is bad because we’re not supposed to. Kill people. Well, what’s the Bible say? I don’t know. Well, then there’s no excuse.

There’s no excuse for a christ follower to not want to know God. The way you know God is prayer in the word and fellowship and under the teaching of biblical elders and pastors. And then you share the gospel, You share the truth. If you learn something at church, you share.

It, and then you and then you keep pushing on. Like Paul said in Philippians three thirteen, my wife and I were going through acts today and Paul, they’re throwing When he saw out at targeting Christians to put him in prison, Stephen called out the Sanhedrin and the teachers and said, you need to repent. So Saul standing there commissions the killing, the murder of the first martyr. Stephen a new Testament, and they’re laying coats at Saul, laying matters feet Sam.

We agree, we agree, you are the authority here. Yes, this is right. Saul eventually becomes Paul and all of the things that he did. He tells the church and PHILIPI this one thing I do forgetting the things that are behind.

I press on toward the higher calling you and I must not carry bags of regrets, as in I have trouble living joyfully for the Lord. Now moving forward. Because of this, you need to get off like the pilgrim’s progress. You’ve got to take off the burdens.

You need to, like Paul said, a run or runs, but you gotta you gotta take off the weights, anything that ensnares you, anything that slows you. Because the Church, the living Church, the truly born again believers meeting in what we call churches, or when you’re at work, when you’re in the community where you’re if you’re on your neighborhood. People are watching. And we want them to see joy, peace, long suffering, steadfastness, slow to anger, not drunks, living peaceably with all men.

That’s the goal. And how do you do that. We’ll get to that inm Flippians too. But I know I kind of carried on here, but as a matter of fact, I’m gonna, I’m gonna I’m gonna stop this podcast here and let you just meditate on it and we’ll come back.

We’ll do Mark five. So I just I just ask that you would pray, ask the Lord to really help you. Like Ephesians talks about walking a step with the spirit, being directed by the spirit, pursuing the good work light out before you were born, to make much of Jesus, understanding that God doesn’t need us. God is sufficient.

We are extremely unfathomably blessed to be going to eternal glory. It is it is. Something that that there’s nothing the world can construct. There’s no a word ceremony there.

You could have the whole world and you’re singing to the world, the whole world, and they’re praising, and it fails with the simple call of the Holy Spirit on you to say, come to Jesus. This is why we’re not supposed to be grumblers or negative or busy bodies with our tongue. We’re not supposed to be worried depressed. We go through cycles of this, but your position in the Lord, which you can hundred always, Jesus, thank you help me today I’m in this situation.

Holy Spirit, give me wisdom, give me faith, give me joy, take away the stress. Father in heaven. I’m coming into the throne room of grace, and I know you love me. So I thank you for what you’ve done and what you’re doing.

May you bless my finances in a way that for your glory’s sake. And may I be content with what you and your perfect counsel. Decide. But may I be a good worker, May I be steadfast, May I be the best.

And that’s the. Walk with the Lord. Life is very short. There’s a video I’ll put up on the social media.

We’re born for a reason. And as we go through the Word and as the encounter people, if they reject, if somebody rejects the Gospel and they reject the scriptures, there’s nowhere to go.

Because the secular reasoning is like Tozer said, I believe, or Ravenhill, all it is is one talking head, like a college or a school or something. If you’re trying to teach truth philosophy, it’s one fall in hand talking head teaching another fallen talking head. No, we are walking in truth and God’s word is the truth, and we must be joyfully comfortable and available and ready to tell people about why we are such. That kind of makes sense, I hope so, because I’m meeting people that are, well, that’s what you guys say, that’s what the church says, that’s what religious people say.

That is well Confucius and ICs. And I’m going to finish with this. Here’s something. Just if you meet somebody, if you know somebody, tell them this.

You know, I was listening to this podcast called Christian Talk. He reminded us. Hereic reminded us that before time, before anything, God existed. Jesus Christ is the Word of God, and he existed before time as part of the God had and Jesus created all things.

And to Cautions One or John one, everything was created by him and for him. So before any false religious concept or construct or figure was on the earth under time, before any anything, before Confucius, before Buddha, before the whatever Jesus is. Someone says as well, Buddhism says, any truth that a false prophet or a false little g gets, you know, information about the little, false little gods which don’t are not gods at all, any truth they that are in their literature or in their cult. Any truth came from Jesus Christ.

Jesus did not come in and all of a sudden beginning of time thirty BC. What whatever the calendar comes in at. Let’s say zero. Let’s just make it easy, zero zero zero zero, because time in the world is separated by before Christ came and after Christ came.

But when Jesus was born, according to the scriptures establishing that line of demarcation between BC and a D, that isn’t when Jesus began, That isn’t when Jesus existed Old Testament, you’ll see christophanies where Jesus is appearing like to Abraham into Samson’s parents or wrestling with Jacob when when they’re they’re they’re seeing God, Jesus, I believe manifested pre pre birth. And then they would wrestle with God, or they would listen to God. And then as soon as as soon as God would leave or Jesus will leave, there would go we’re toast. We saw God.

So Jesus is the great. I am, I am that I am. That’s why when God said in the beginning, the Holy Spirit was present on the earth, because the Holy supit was present before in the beginning. So people need to understand all of everything that’s followed since the beginning of time, from the Tower of Babel to all the false teachings, was the demonic world, and that had fallen from Adam and Eve’s sin.

And they were then deceiving people, tempting people, oppressing people, possessing people. And what did we get. Shortly after the beginning, God said, every thought and attention of the heart is wicked. Every person except for Noah and his family.

Hate me. Their thoughts are captive. I mean their thoughts are continually evil. So according to prophecy which Methuselah, these guys lived to be nine or sixty nine years old.

His ny meant when he. Dies, the judgment calms he dies that generation. Hey, Noah, build an arc. What’s an arc? It’s gonna rain? What is rain? This is what I’m talking about.

Okay, one hundred years. Hey guys, Hey, suns, we’re building up. We’re building this thing that’s gonna float called an arc on water when it rains, to the point that every mountains covered, and everything on the earth is that has nostrils. It’s walking around except for us in the boat.

We’ll die. What God said, okay, okay, Dad. When they got off the boat, got off the arc. After over a year floating around, they got off the boat.

And then God said and put on the heart of Noah, all right, we need to we need to build an alter. We need to sacrifice some of the clean animals to God for his holiness and for bringing us through. And then God told Noah to tell the eight of them, if anyone murders anyone else kills them, their bloods required to them from us. So everybody’s gone, but the eight and then the death penalty, which is the righteous judgment of God for those who wrongly take somebody’s life called murder, not killing like in a war or self defense, but to premeditated murder.

Somebody like Kan killed Abel, then their blood’s required. Why because God is holy in God’s ways are not our ways. Because God’s God is odds, does everything in accordance to the counsel of his own will, and his decisions and judgments are righteous and right. And it’s not like humans that are emotional rollercoasters.

Oh they yeah, they’re so nice. I just I don’t know if we should talk to him about the stuff they watch, the stuff they talk about around me. I don’t know if I should say, yeah, I don’t want to hurt anybody’s feelings. Oh wow, those people are born that way.

There is no way that God could judge them for their lifestyle, their orientation. I can go on and on, but I have stories of people that I’ve met. That last story I promise I could. I was on a I was selling solar systems in California, and I went on on an appointment, and I would always try to look for an opportunity to let him know that I’m a Christ follower and if they had any if they had any questions.

And as we were, we were getting into the conversation and then it’s like, you know, the lady was seemed like a very faithful Catholic and we were agreeing on everything until because California had such a high homosexual population, I said, well, you know, there’s the confusion. One of the confusions of California is the fact that homosexuals are kind of elevated or considered an option in the public schools, et cetera. And but we know that God says that. The drunkards and the adulters and the fornicators, homosexual offenders not to hear and the Kingdom of God.

She goes, well, my nephew is gay. And so I believe God is going to overlook that for him because he’s a nice kid. Well, none of us would want and I wouldn’t want anyone to go to hell, But anyone unrepentant, anyone not born from above who’s Jesus, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior’s blood has a tone for them on the cross. And they have made Christ Lord and elevated him as he is do.

Then when we die and they die, then we all either Christians or we’re not under judgment. So we don’t go through a judgment of hell or heaven. We’re through something called a bee miss seat or and where our lives are reviewed or on display before God and we can see that we were either good and faithful servants or we get in simply by our faith. But for most of the world who tell us God’s Bible’s flawed, I don’t believe it.

I’m going to do it this way. This religious people are the problem, etc. Et cetera. Well, Jesus said to his disciples, they hated me in the prophets.

They hated us first, but they hated me first. Guys, they’re going to hate you. Paul said that the cross is an offense to those who are perishing. So the reason why I cover do not be unequally yoked every podcast.

Why I say do not love the world because I James says, if you love the world, then you are an enemy in with God. Because God odds. Wants to be glorified in our lives, and through that proper exaltation of him is yahweh as Lord, and Jesus Christ as our Savior, the groom, and the Holy Spirit as the comforter and as the teacher, and as the one who drives us to the cross is the power of salvation. It is the cross saves us.

The cross is an offense to those who are perishing. So share with your friends. Before anything, Jesus was everything that followed after, especially after Adam and Eve. But after them, Sin came into the world, and it the creation has been groaning, waiting to be set free.

Everything has been dealing with sin and a third of the demonic Host, former angels, and their demonic ringleader, a former high ranking angel. We’re in a spiritual battle worldwide. In the end, Jesus will return and take the title deed back from Lucifer cast them in to be locked up thousand year reign. The people that were still around had a choice without even being tempted.

After the thousand years, Lucifers and the Host are back out, and those who rejected Christ, even with him on earth, will then wage war against God and Jesus Christ will destroy them and sin and death and pain.

And those who did not come, not called, not the elects, not chosen with the foreknowledge of God. They then will spend eternity with Lucifer and the demons, because that is what they chose in life. They liked darkness.

They didn’t want Christ. People tell me this, Oh everybody wants Jesus. Absolutely not. Nobody wants Jesus.

At birth, we’re born into Adam, sinners. Through God’s election, God’s grace, we come. Most of the world. No, they don’t want him.

And that is just like when we’re going through the Old Testament with Joshua. When God was going before Israel to give him the Promised Land, he would say, the people in this city are so vile, even the children. Everything is polluted, diseases. I want the whole town wiped out.

Oh how could God do that? And you want to say, are you serious? God is holy? Stop it? God is good. God is love God. See, so you have a you have one God that’s ever been, whose love, long suffering, holy just everywhere knows everything doesn’t change. So, like Paul said, can the pot that’s being made on the wheel, can it look up at the potter to God and say, don’t make me this.

And it’s like, get real, humble yourself in the sight of the Lord. The beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord, a proper perspective of God. Jesus said, don’t be afraid of the one that can destroy your body. Be afraid of God.

Be afraid of the one who can destroy your body and send your soul into hell. Today, make much of Jesus. Focus on prayer, which is giving God glory. Then if you petition with the humility of saying, but let your will be done.

But this is where my burdens are. God, Jesus, give him the glory for the cross. Thank you for the cross. Lord, Thank you that you love me.

Help me to bless my mother or bless my children, or help me to to make much of you, and get in Holy Spirit. Give me the words, and give me the compassion, and give me the give me the give me the give me what. To say to do this. And and all of this.
