Former Trump Chief of Staff Believes Trump Will Select Dr. Ben Carson as VP

As the race for Donald Trump’s vice presidential pick heats up, oddsmakers are closely watching and speculating on who will join the ticket in November. According to Oddschecker, a popular betting site, Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina is currently leading the pack with odds just shy of 5-1. This suggests that the competition for the coveted spot is still wide open. Close behind Scott is North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum at 6-1 odds, showing that he is a strong contender in this race.

But it’s not just these two names that are causing buzz in the betting market. Senators J.D. Vance of Pennsylvania and Marco Rubio of Florida are also being considered serious contenders with odds of roughly 8-1 and 9-1, respectively. In fact, multiple outlets have reported that Trump’s campaign has finalized its list of potential VP candidates which also includes Representatives Elise Stefanik of New York and Byron Donalds of Florida.

However, despite being on Oddschecker’s list, both Stefanik and Donalds are seen as longshots with odds of 22-1 and 54-1 respectively. It seems that their chances may be slim compared to other potential candidates.

One name that was once considered a top contender for Trump’s running mate was South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem. However, recent controversies surrounding her memoir have caused her to fall out of favor. In it, she made claims about meeting North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un which turned out to be false. She also admitted to killing an untrainable puppy, sparking outrage among animal lovers.

In a recent interview with Sky News Australia, former White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney revealed his prediction for who President Donald Trump will choose as his running mate in the 2024 election – and it may come as a surprise to some.

“I’m telling you, it’s going to be Ben Carson,” Mulvaney confidently declared when asked about Trump’s potential vice president pick.

While there has been much speculation about who could potentially join forces with Trump in the next presidential race, Mulvaney believes that Dr. Ben Carson stands out from the rest of the list.

“The one element I think Ben Carson has that none of the other six people on the list have is I don’t think Ben Carson wants to be president; I don’t think he wants to run for president,” Mulvaney explained.

He went on to share his thoughts on why he believes Carson would make a strong vice president choice for Trump.

“The 2028 election starts the next day after the 2024 election. I don’t think Donald Trump wants anybody in that White House running for President on day one of his second term,” said Mulvaney. “That’s why I keep coming back again to Ben Carson. They know each other, they like each other, he’s trustworthy, he’s loyal.”

Carson, a renowned neurosurgeon and former presidential candidate, has been a close ally of Trump since the 2016 election. He also served as the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development under the Trump administration.

In his interview with Sky News Australia, Mulvaney praised Carson for his integrity and shared a personal anecdote about their relationship.

“I’ve known him for years, I’ve had dinner at his house. He’s just a fantastic human being,” Mulvaney said. “One of my favorite stories is we were having dinner one night and he gets up to go answer the phone because it was his wife calling. That’s the kind of person Ben Carson is.”

While nothing has been officially confirmed by Trump or his team, Mulvaney’s prediction has sparked excitement among right-leaning Americans who are eager to see who will join forces with Trump in the next election.

The idea of Carson as VP may come as a surprise to some, but it aligns with Trump’s tendency to choose unconventional candidates for important positions. And with their close relationship and shared values, it seems like a natural fit for both men.

Only time will tell if Mulvaney’s prediction comes true, but one thing is for sure – the 2024 election is already shaping up to be an exciting one. Stay tuned for more updates on Trump’s potential vice president pick!
