Trump Hints At Yet Another Possible VP Candidate

Former President Donald Trump had what was reported to be an exciting meeting on Thursday with Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin. As they discussed the possibility of flipping the state red for the 2024 presidential election, Trump couldn’t help but consider Youngkin as a potential running mate.

After all, it’s no secret that Virginia has been voting for Democrat candidates in recent cycles. But with new polling showing Trump and President Joe Biden tied at 48%, it seems like there may be hope for Republicans in this historically blue state.

During an interview with a Fox News reporter, the idea of Youngkin being Trump’s VP was floated. And it’s not surprising considering that Rupert Murdoch, who owns Fox News, had personally lobbied for Youngkin to run for the Republican Party nomination during this last cycle.

Trump himself seemed impressed by Youngkin after their meeting, stating “He’s great…I think I could consider that.” He went on to say that he hasn’t been asked about his potential running mate yet, but if he were to make a list, Youngkin would definitely be on it. “He’s very good,” Trump added. “We had a great meeting about Virginia.”

Having someone like Glenn Youngkin by his side could greatly benefit Trump in his quest to win back the White House in 2024.

TRUMP tells me he likes GOV YOUNGKIN for VP after his meeting:

HASNIE: “Do you like him for VP?”
TRUMP: “He’s great. And I think I could consider that. Yes. I haven’t, I haven’t been asked that question, but he would be on that list. He’s very good. We had a great meeting about…

It’s not clear if Trump is seriously considering Youngkin as a VP candidate as there have been no prior reports about his campaign reaching out to the governor for information.

The campaign has reached out to several candidates for paperwork over the possibility that Trump could pick them, including Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR), Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), former Cabinet member Ben Carson, and others.

Eric Thompson, a very popular podcast host on Christian Talk commented:

“Finding a suitable running mate for Donald Trump is of utmost importance. After all, we want someone who will not only support our President’s vision but also help him turn his promises into action.

In the current political climate, it is crucial that we have a strong and united front. And that starts with having a vice president who shares the same values and beliefs as our leader. As such, it is essential for President Trump to carefully consider his options and choose someone who will complement his leadership style.

One of the main reasons why we voted for Donald Trump was because he promised to put America first. We need a vice president who will stand by him in achieving this goal and not be swayed by political correctness or outside influences.”

According to an article from CNN, “Trump has said he wants ‘a person with political experience’ as his running mate.” This makes sense as we need someone who understands how Washington works and can navigate through its complexities alongside our President.

But more than just political experience, we also need someone who shares our conservative values. Someone who will fight for pro-life policies, protect our Second Amendment rights, and uphold traditional family values.
