Whoopi Goldberg Responds to Trump’s Remarks Made During Campaign Rally

During a campaign rally at the Santander Arena in Reading, Pennsylvania, former President Donald Trump took aim at “The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg, igniting fresh controversy. While Trump’s speech focused on the Biden administration’s inflationary policies and the state of the southern border, he also turned his attention to Goldberg, sharing an embarrassing anecdote from their past.

Trump recounted a story in which he had hired Goldberg for a comedy performance several years ago. However, he claimed that he walked out of her show due to her “disgusting and filthy” language. Trump told the crowd that Goldberg’s act was so offensive that he vowed never to hire her again. The crowd reacted with laughter and applause as Trump mocked Goldberg, who is known for her outspoken criticism of the former president.

The interaction is just the latest in a long-standing feud between Trump and Goldberg, who regularly criticizes him on “The View.” The exchange underscores Trump’s campaign strategy of blending political attacks with personal jabs at well-known public figures.

Goldberg, a prominent figure on the left, has not yet responded publicly to Trump’s comments. However, her long history of challenging Trump suggests that this back-and-forth is far from over. Trump’s remarks not only rallied his supporters but also fueled ongoing tensions between the former president and liberal media figures like Goldberg.

The incident adds another layer of drama to the 2024 campaign, as Trump continues to mix policy discussions with personal rivalries to energize his voter base.

TRUMP: I hired Whoopi to work for me as a comedian before this stuff a long time ago. And I went; now, I’m not particularly shy about what I hear, and her mouth was so foul.

Every word out of her mouth was like the F word. I was with a group of people and we had to leave. She was so filthy dirty — disgusting. I said I would never hire her again, and I left.

Goldberg was unhappy hearing these words from the 45th President and went on an unhinged rampage on her show today. As one will see below, she called him “dumb” multiple times and repeatedly mocked his business acumen.

GOLDBERG: As it turns out, I was filthy. I was filthy.

And stand on that fact. I have always been filthy. And you knew that when you hired me. I headline babe at your casino, which I might have continued to play had you not run it into the ground!

JOY BEHAR: Exactly, who does that?

GOLDBERG: You know, listen, how dumb are you? You hired me four times. You got to William Morris and get the things because I know you all are going to be looking for it. So, talk to William Morris.

You hired me four times, and you didn’t know what you were getting. How dumb are you?!
